Quick answer

What is audio to video AI?

Audio to video AI generates a video from a sound file, with the pictures planned from the audio itself. Tapemoon is an audio to video AI generator for music: it reads the tempo, sections and lyrics of your MP3 or WAV, drafts a storyboard you can change, then renders AI scenes that cut on the beat.

How it works

How do you make a music video with audio to video AI?

Turn audio into video in four steps. The timeline comes from the song, so cuts land where the music changes.

  1. Upload your audioAn MP3 or WAV of a song you own, or a Suno share link.
  2. The AI maps the songTempo, beats, sections, energy and lyric timing, read from the audio.
  3. Review the storyboardSee every scene and where it starts. Change the style, a scene or a lyric before you spend credits.
  4. Render and exportPick a video model and download an MP4 with your original audio.
Beat and mood

How the video follows the music

Each part of the song map becomes an editing decision.

Tempo and beats

Cuts and camera moves land on the beat. Faster tracks get shorter shots.

Sections

Each verse, chorus and drop starts a new scene. The chorus carries the main motif.

Energy

Quiet parts hold longer; loud parts cut faster and move more.

Lyrics

Lines are timed to the vocal for captions, and their imagery shapes the scenes.

Mood

You pick the style and mood; the audio sets the pacing.

Use cases

What people make with audio to video AI

Suno and Udio creators

Give a finished track more than a still image on YouTube: a full video, or a vertical chorus clip for Shorts.

Anime, summer sky, a girl drifting up into the clouds

Independent artists

A single needs a video on release day: the full song in 16:9 for YouTube, or the chorus in 9:16 for Shorts.

Kling 3.0, a hallway at night, a practiced smile and a porcelain mask

Rap, folk and ballads

When the words lead, lyrics appear in time with the vocal and the scenes follow what they describe.

Ballad, lyrics timed to the vocal, a rainy night at home

Producers and beatmakers

With no lyrics to follow, the scenes lean on the beat grid: cuts and motion hit the kick and the drop.

Cinematic, chrome shapes, a cut on every downbeat

FAQ

Audio to video AI FAQ

Can AI turn audio into a video?

Yes. AI audio to video tools read the sound and generate pictures for it. Tapemoon does this for songs: it maps the beats, sections and lyrics, plans scenes for each part and edits them to the music.

Is this audio to video AI free?

Your first track is free to try after you sign in with Google: you get the storyboard and a 15-second chorus preview with Seedance (480p) and a watermark, once per person. Full-length videos without a watermark use credits.

Is MP3 to video AI the same as an MP3 to video converter?

No. A converter puts your MP3 under one still image or a waveform and exports it, often for free. MP3 to video AI generates new scenes for the whole song, so it takes longer and uses credits.

Do I need to write a prompt?

No. Pick a style (Cinematic or Anime) and a format, and the AI writes the storyboard from the song. You can then rewrite any scene or lyric before rendering.

Does it work for instrumentals or songs without lyrics?

Yes. With no lyrics to follow, the scenes lean on the beat grid: cuts and motion land on the kick and the drop.

Can I turn a podcast or voice recording into a video?

Not with Tapemoon. It is built for music, and spoken audio has no beats or sections to edit to. A narration or avatar tool fits that job better.

Can it make a talking avatar or lip sync to my audio?

No. Tapemoon does not use real people’s faces or voices: no face swaps, no lip sync, no voice cloning and no imitations of real artists. Scenes use generated characters and places.

Can I convert a Suno song to video?

Yes. Paste the Suno share link or upload the downloaded file. Your Suno plan must allow the use, such as commercial use if you monetize the video.

How much does a full-length video cost?

You pay credits for the seconds you render: 1 credit is 1 second of Seedance video, and Kling uses 3 or 4. Storyboards use no credits, and re-rendering one scene costs only that scene.

Which format should I pick for YouTube or TikTok?

16:9 for YouTube, or 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. You choose one per project and pay for that one.

Can I use the video commercially?

Paid plans include commercial use, and you own the generated video under your plan’s license. Rights to the music stay with you or your music service.

What if a render fails?

If a render fails because of a fault on our side, the credits it used go back to your balance.
